Disability

Everyone joins in their own way.

Fun, creativity and connection can look different for everyone and that’s exactly how it should be.

Imagination Co Australia offers two inclusive experiences for disability groups and services. Storytelling & Puppetry, plus Circus for Wellbeing. Both create welcoming spaces for participants to explore, connect, enjoy the moment and take part in a way that feels right form them.

Sessions can be adapted around needs and abilities of the group. There’s no expectation to keep up, get everything right or participate in the same way as everyone else. Some people may be ready to jump straight in, while others might prefer to watch, explore, take their time or join in when they feel comfortable.

Storytelling & Puppetry brings together imagination, character and sensory experiences to create moments of curiosity, enjoyment and connection. Participants can engage with the experience in different ways, making it welcoming for a wide range of abilities and communication styles.

Circus for Wellbeing takes a much gentler approach to circus, with activities that promote movement, coordination, confidence and wellbeing. The emphasis isn’t on performance or mastering a skill, it’s about exploring movement, enjoying the activity and celebrating participation.

Sensory elements can also add another dimension to the experience, offering opportunities to explore movement, texture, colour and visual stimulation in an enjoyable and supportive setting.

Whether someone wants to be right amongst the action or simply enjoy what’s happening around them, there is space for them to participate in their own way.

Above all, the focus is enjoyment, connection, choice and creating positive moments together.

Suitable for disability organisations, day programs, community groups and supported settings.
